we have calls into cal tran and the metropolitan transportation authority. as soon as we hear more from them, we'll pass that along. >>> time now 6:36. let's get everybody moving this morning. a lot is happening in our commute this morning. sal, where are you focused now? >> we are still looking at fremont. even though the traffic crash the truck that son its side has not effected the freeway so far. you cannot use the commission boulevard south off ramp until they right the truck and get it out of there. i do want to mention a crash overnight that occurred in the santa cruz mountains. one person was killed when the car went off the roadway and unincorporated santa cruz county earlier this morning. the traffic collision located on bear creek road just west of state route 35 reported just before 1:00 in the morning a passer by noticed skid marks on the road and called police. they noticed someone had gone down the embankment. they did retrieve the body. the car is down there. they'll get that car later today. bear creek road may be blocked temporarily. let's

i'm here at cal beach standing in the wet stand. now this portion of the beach, it will stay open 24 hours a day if you want to be in the wet stand to get to the ocean. you can still do that. but now once you cross over here into the dry sand. that's offlimits when it gets dark because of the new curfew. a local surfer posted a youtube video where he climbed up the rocks and found needles used for drugs and waste. he wanted to show the damage to the environment and illegal camping occurring here. police and concerned residents expressed their concerns to the city council last night. the council unanimously approved a curfew at the beach that bans use of the beach from midnight to one hour before sunrise. we asked localles if they thought it would -- locals if they thought it would take a difference. >> i really don't know. i think it will help the beach up that way, toward the west, where people -- that's where people camp and hang out. how much it will make a difference right down here? i don't know. >> i've been swimming here ever
